| I set up my tent 300 yards away from my truck. The tent was under a wind break made of 2x2 lumber, bungee cords, and a large tarp. One night, in a fierce wind storm, I was woken because my entire tent had collapsed. I was sleeping wearing a dust mask. There was so much dust in the collapsed tent that when I turned on a flash light, I couldn't see. I put on swimming goggles and got outside, and found out that one of the 2x2's had snapped in the wind. Oh well... so I walked over to center camp and hung out there until daylight. The winds were 70mph. | | Add comments |
