I am thinking about making my own hot tub rental store. This means I will have to borrow money to buy all of the hot tubs. Or, I could go up to Alaska and sheer down some trees and make some nice hot tubs out of their fine firs. I actually prefer redwood over cedar - and I prefer wood over plastic. Wood bends and can stretch whereas plastic is just a substance that surrounds us in our normal day-to-day environment, which just gets a little old, let's face it!

There are a lot of rules to remember when you buy a hot tub filter. One of these is to make sure that the spa runs at least one hour a day, even if no one is using it. This ensures that the spa chemicals are circulating a nice, high rate and are killing those diseases. But it also makes sure that the filter is being worked. Just like a car that needs to be driven, you spa chemicals need to be emitted. Your discount hot tub needs to be cleaned like never before and the petrified bones found in the diatomaceous earth filters are a good place to start!

The raised seating material for your hot tub deck should all be made out of 2X6's and 2X4's. Whether you have plates, studs, or joists, it is imperative you keep them at these measurements. I recommend redwood but cedar will also work. Redwood is nice because of its ability to be impervious to water over time, and it has a nice red finish. It's amazing to me that after putting 5 pounds of nails into your deck, you will have something that looks like it is made out of wood rather than metal!

My interest in spa chemicals began because I grew up in a hot springs. My parents didn't realize that bacteria could be slowly eating away at the walls. If they ate at the walls, imagine what they would do to your insides. So I went out and invested in some natural spa chemicals that have been patented and proven to kill bugs. It was one of the best investments I could have made. No more would I have to use electricity to kill the vermin, from now I could kill them with natural spa chemicals.

Hot tub decks should be built around 4" higher or lower than the door frame. If there is any more room than this, you run into trouble in the area of leaks. If the hot tub springs a leak, then you can flood your house. So talk to your water company and the company that administers your spa chemicals to make sure there are no risks of permanently damaging your carpet. I recommend talking to some architects and engineers before actually building a giant water vat on your deck because water is a lot heavier than you think it is - it's one of nature's most powerful forces!

Hot tub installation is a world filled with many choices. Should you install the hot tub indoors or outdoors? Should the hot tub be installed on the ground or on your deck? I think the best way to find out where you should place it should really be determinant upon how big your hot tub is. If you can fit it outside, and it works, put it outside. Otherwise, as a second viable option, put it inside. Outside is always a nicer place for your hot tub.

If you're going to have a portable hot tub, I don't recommend the blow up kind. These can randomly explode if you put too much air in them. Plus, it's a lot of money to put all of that water in the tub - 500 pounds of water - and the last thing you need is to blow it all. If you're out in the woods and a pine needle pops the thing, then you are in big trouble ! Portable hot tubs should at least have an iota of strength to them, and the blow-up kind of portable hot tubs aren't very strong.

Some of the hot tubs and the discount hot tub store were made of polyethylene. This means it is placed in a giant oven in a giant mold-like shape. Sometimes this means your hot tub isn't that cool because it might stink like fungus. There are other ways to build a hot tub. I wonder if the Indians had hot tubs. They would probably carve out a tree if they wanted one bad enough, kind of like they would with their canoes. They didn't have the exorbitant ovens that Walmart does and these other great shopping centers. Not to mention, the spa chemicals needed to treat their hot tubs probably would have been highly questionable.

I like to prepare my joints for the tennis courts by jumping into the Jacuzzi hot tub right before I go to play a game. And what a difference it has made! By soaking in my Jacuzzi hot tub I have actually been able to lose and added 30+ pounds! You should see the faces of my friends at work who now see the new me who can't fit into my old clothes. I actually had to buy a belt for my old pants. And not to mention, I am the handsome one on the social scene!

My discount hot tub is built to withstand all sorts of high temperatures. That is because the outer layering around it is made of cedar and redwood. This is a ¼" thick. Try to imagine the bad rain trying to soak me while I'm already very wet. All of my friends have hot tub parties. And maybe this is the reason I bought one. I don't want to have to compete with the Jones's, here, but let us at least get a synthetic mesh like the neighbors have. It's true. This keeps up the proper appearance.

Hot tub decks really need to be constructed carefully. You should have about nine posts - and make them all 4X4's. Your stringers should be 2X10's, your joists 2X6's, and your headers, angle braces and blocking all 2X6's as well. If you don't get the measurements right on your hot tub deck, then you run the risk of having all that hot water and spa chemicals spilling in your yard. This would be bad for your hot tub deck.

The old man who owns the hot tub rental shop has offered to sell it to me. If I decide to take it, then I will be stuck in this small town for the rest of my life. On the other hand, I would always have access to Jacuzzi hot tubs. Which has always been in the back of my mind, it is true. If I can sit in the Jacuzzi all by myself and have each of my friends sit in their Jacuzzi, so I don't have to share, then I think I would be in absolute hot tub rental heaven!
